Youssoufa Moukoko back to team training
Borussia Dortmund sign much-loved PSG midfielder Abdoulaye Kamara
Youssoufa Moukoko returned to training on Tuesday after a four-month absence due to injury. New Borussia Dortmund recruit Abdoulaye Kamara also took part in the session.
Borussia Dortmund continued their preparations for the new season on Tuesday as Marco Rose put his players to the test. According to Ruhr Nachrichten, Blacks and Yellows welcomed Youssoufa Moukoko to team training, nearly four months after sustaining a ligament injury to his foot while on international duty with the German U-21s.
Moukoko’s return is certainly welcome for Borussia Dortmund, who are still training without a number of first-team players. Marco Rose said earlier this month that he looks forward to working with the much-loved striker and wants to help him succeed without putting too much pressure on his shoulders.
Moukoko had an impressive professional start last season, scoring three goals in just 14 league appearances. And he will now aim to build on that in the next campaign.
New signing Abdoulaye Kamara also took part in his first training session for Borussia Dortmund. The 16-year-old signed a long-term contract with BVB earlier on Tuesday, joining a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain. He should also be included in the traveling squad for Bad Ragaz training camp.
Borussia Dortmund are expected to travel to Switzerland for a weeklong training camp on Friday. They face Spain’s Athletic Bilbao in a friendly match on Saturday, before concluding their pre-season fixtures with a game against Italian team Bologna FC next week.
