Xavi ‘wet’ with Dembélé renewal and calls Pedri ‘the best in the world’
FC Barcelona won an important victory against Athletic de Bilbao and is always in the upline to reclaim its best version. The group led by Xavi Hernández adds three consecutive victories and goleadas and a split improvement to the party. At Camp Nou he returned to ‘command’ and the goals came as if it were an easy thing. Dembélé and Pedri were two of the proper names of the parties… And Xavi gave praise to both.
The egarense coach analyzed in a press conference the performance of his team against Bilbao and the names of Dembélé and Pedri came out on the palestra after the splits which they both completed. On the Canarian, on the left, minimum, thirty seconds of video in pure praise. It is surprised with its talent, improvement and maturity, getting it to put itself like the best of the world.
“If we talk about pure talent, Pedri is the best in the world”
“At the level of talent has not seen in the world a player like him. There isn’t,” Xavi began to say. “I’m not saying it out of praise because he’s a player who doesn’t like praise. There are some with different characteristics like De Bruyne or Modric, but not with his talent”, stood out, adding that “it reminds me of Iniesta, saving distances. If we talk about pure talent, it’s the best in the world. Sure”.
The flight of the ‘disputed’ Dembélé
Regarding Ousmane Dembélé, author of a golazo and two assists, Xavi commented in the press room that “thought that with two pure extremes would do more damage and as it showed . That’s why I put two extremes”, speaking in addition to the whistles received when he entered the field: “Practically, there were whistles. The public is sovereign and can do what they want, but must be on their part”.
L’egarense added that Dembélé “is a very great professional, who supports the group and is a good boy inside the dressing room. It can make a difference. Today is the best Dembélé he has seen. Let them support him, he is a professional”, referred to.
Finally, he also spoke about his future, after being asked if he would plead for his renewal with Barça: “this is not the time to speak of renewal, but of him. It is the moment to praise the collective work. It’s no longer of interest now.”
