The Black Owl Café reopens to the delight of the inhabitants of Kalamazoo
FINALLY. It feels like the world is slowly returning to a sense of normalcy. Sure, that might sound like a snail’s step, but hey … it’s progress.
With these advancements comes the reopening of local favorites like the Black Owl Café.
Since I decided to move to Michigan in the midst of a pandemic, I personally cannot vouch for my favorite place. I barely had the chance to try new places! However, judging by Facebook’s comments alone, people are READY for this reopening.
Just yesterday, Black Owl Café made a post on their Facebook page declaring their return with promises of good music, good coffee and shaded terraces. For now, their hours are limited to weekdays. It’s Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For those like me who have never visited Black Owl Café, they describe themselves as a rustic, laid back cafe right in downtown Kalamazoo. They offer wonderful espresso drinks, at least judging by their Instagram, and serve Kalamazoo Coffee Co. branded coffee.
Now, I am a person who relies heavily on reviews or the experiences of other customers to decide which establishment I want to visit. Like I said earlier, judging by those Facebook comments on their last message, it’s definitely a popular place:
Sarah B. wrote: FINE-UH-LYYYYYYYYYYYYYY !!!!! Seriously – the only place I have missed since March of last year. To finish.
Carole Y. chained with: Hooray! I missed you!!
And Jaimie S. tagged a friend and said: LET’S GO AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE!
High five to Sean C. for asking the question that is close to my heart …What about the food?
It looks like food will be limited to donuts for now. But, what a perfect marriage, isn’t it?
Just like a toddler, I feel like the majority of us still find our place in this time, as I call it, “so close to being almost done with the pandemic” in our lives. lives. That being said, changes can happen. If you want to stay up to date with the Black Owl Café, be sure to follow them on their Facebook or Instagram.
What are the signature drinks of each state?
