St. John’s favorite named one of the best places in the United States for cider tasting
It can be hard to keep our favorite Michigan fall spots a secret for much longer. The whole country just learned that the Mitten State is home to one of the best places in the country for cider tasting this fall.
This time of year is all about the fall staples of pumpkin patch, leaf viewing and, of course, time at the cider house. Michigan has a full range of windmills from north to south and lake to lake to keep you busy, so much so that you may need to make a list of the ones you “must see” before the snow falls. does not start to fly. Just be sure to add the one in St. John’s which is considered the best of the best in the whole country.
Uncle John’s Cider HouseI found myself this year “17 Best Places to Enjoy Cider This Fall” by Voyage to discover. This list is made up of the best that offer both hard cider and non-alcoholic cider in cities, towns, and rural areas across the United States.
Originally run as a wholesale fruit and vegetable farm, Uncle John’s was founded in the early 1970s by John and Carolyn Beck. This time of year, Uncle John’s has a calendar full of entertainment, including its fall festival weekends. With traditional apple orchard experiences, Uncle John’s allows visitors to enjoy both the tap room and the barn for cider and hot spiced spirits, including selections such as hard cider with Uncle John’s apples and apricots.
Perfect for a family outing or a full adult fall event, you can’t go wrong with the word cider this time of year.
Uncle John’s is open 7 days a week from 9 p.m. to 7 p.m. Check their website for a full schedule of events here.
