Man City fans react as club watch Ben White
Man City would love Brighton and Hove Albion defender Ben White very much.
According to reporter Duncan Castles on the Transfer Window podcast, the Premier League champions have started talks with the center-back. The Defender is available for sale this summer at a fair price.
Castles claim the England international is a potential replacement for Aymeric Laporte, who could leave the club this window. City are also keeping an eye on Liga duo Jules Kounde and Pau Torres.
Additionally, Arsenal are heavily linked with White, with the Daily Mail reporting that the Gunners are in talks on a £ 55million deal for the 23-year-old.
City were the best team in Premier League defense last season. Indeed, the Manchester giants have conceded the fewest goals and kept the cleanest sheets as Pep Guardiola’s side rode the division.
While Laporte wasn’t the first choice last season, the Spain international is a favorite among City supporters.
Moreover, on social media, fans were unhappy that the club could sell the former Athletic Bilbao star. With fans furious that White could be the player to replace Laporte.
Here’s what some Man City fans had to say about White being able to join the club this summer …
there are no substitutes for a player of his quality. Pep needs to stop playing the Stones on him.
