Kenny Dalglish and Athletic Bilbao congratulate Celtic on winning the Premiership

Kenny Dalglish and Spanish side Athletic Bilbao congratulated Celtic on Twitter after being confirmed as Scottish Premiership champions on Wednesday night. That is, despite the only draw against Dundee United.
Ange Postecoglou’s side needed just one point with six rival Rangers separating Celtic and Old Firm before Wednesday. Giovanni van Bronckhorst saw his side send Ross County 4-1, while Celtic drew 1-1 at United.
Georgios Giakoumakis continued his brilliant second half of the campaign with another goal just after the half-time break – before United equalized in the 72nd minute through Dylan Levitt. But it was enough to get another title.
The 52nd in the club’s glittering history, and a tenth in 11 seasons – which Alan Thompson referenced on Twitter. Dalglish Hoops Icon had praise for Australian boss Postecoglou, while Bilbao praised the Hoops.

Kenny Dalglish and Athletic Bilbao congratulate Champions Celtic
It’s been a stunning campaign for Celtic. Even more remarkable considering the state of the club – from board to playing staff – when Postecoglou took over last summer. His overhaul, in many ways, brought Celtic back to their best.
A complete game staff revolution, a completely new system and that family friendliness is back. Postecoglou has a manager to thank for that, who was ridiculed by some when he took over – on his coaching badges.
It’s a brilliant Premiership victory and even better as it sees Celtic qualify immediately for the Champions League group stages. Rangers could join them if they beat Frankfurt in the Europa League final.
