July 4th Berkshires Weekend Forecast

It’s not only a great weekend for vacationers and weekend warriors, it’s also an important weekend for businesses in the area, especially vacation destinations like the Berkshires and Cape Town. . While companies are still struggling to make up for the losses caused by the pandemic last year, a beautiful sunny weekend would have started well this summer.

Unable to control the weather, we will have to do our best with the hand given to us and hopefully have enough sun after a very wet week to save our July 4th weekend plans. The National Weather Service calls for mostly cloudy conditions with showers, thunderstorms on Saturday, more the same Sunday on the 4th, but with some sunshine in the forecast. Monday will be the choice of the long weekend with sunshine and a peak in the 70s.

We all know the weather in New England is unpredictable. Let’s keep the faith for more sun than rain and all the best for local establishments statewide for a busy, profitable weekend. The full long-term NWS forecast is below.

Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible in the afternoon. Cloudy, with a high near 65. Wind calm becoming northeast 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. The probability of precipitation is 70%. Risk of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low of around 53. Wind east 5 to 8 mph. The probability of precipitation is 50%. The new amounts of precipitation are between a tenth and a quarter of an inch, except for higher amounts possible during a thunderstorm.

Saturday

Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 3pm. Mainly cloudy, with a high near 60. Wind northeast around 6 mph. The probability of precipitation is 60%. The new amounts of precipitation are between a tenth and a quarter of an inch, except for higher amounts possible during a thunderstorm.

Saturday night

Risk of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. Wind calm. The probability of precipitation is 50%. The new amounts of precipitation are between a tenth and a quarter of an inch, except for higher amounts possible during a thunderstorm.
