Inaki Williams scores in his 350th game for Athletic Bilbao
Inaki latched on to a lobbed pass from Ander Herrera and applied a neat finish to put Bilbao ahead after just two minutes.
However, Getafe rallied to restore par in the 27th minute when Carles Alena took advantage of the defensive confusion to score.
Bilbao took the lead again after the restart when Inaki’s brother Nico provided a reduction for Raul Garcia to drive the ball home.
The away side couldn’t hold on to their lead though, as Munir El Haddadi came on from the bench to grab the all-important equalizer for Getafe.
Inaki has been in impressive form this season, having now been involved in five goals in two games this season.
He has scored four times for Bilbao in La Liga so far, while providing one assist as the club’s top striker.
Earlier in the season, manager Valverde urged Inaki to work on his goal in order to improve his numbers up front.
Last season the striker scored eight goals in 38 league appearances and the season before he netted six times for Bilbao in the league.
Inaki is, however, on track to match or improve his record from the 2018/19 season, where he reached double La Liga figures.
