Grand Rapids Bachelorette Party Saves Lives With “Fate”
Every once in a while I find myself reading a story and wondering … is everything meant to be? Is there really some sort of destiny that each of us is heading towards? Because this story is amazing. And who knows how it would have been if these women weren’t where they were at the right time.
As reported by WoodTV News Channel 8, a Grand Rapids bride was having her bachelorette party in Cave Bonobo in Traverse City. They had just arrived and were ordering drinks when there was a sudden commotion inside the cellar.
A woman had fallen, hit her head on the ground and passed out. Fortunately, this bachelorette party was in the right place at the right time. Not one but two nurses were part of the party.
Erica Wright, the bride, said her mother, Maureen and aunt, Jacqueline Clifford, immediately jumped into action. Jacqueline performed CPR and began to check the pulse while Maureen gave mouth to mouth. The woman was resuscitated after a few minutes and taken for a doctor’s examination.
Erica, who was supposed to have her bachelorette party a year ago, said she believed it was fate that drove them to the cellar that day, continuing with,
It feels like they were meant to be there to help this woman
What if these women hadn’t been there to immediately help this woman who passed out? Who knows. But it does give some hope that maybe some things in life are just … meant to be.
