Are you looking for a hangover cure? Experts say to drink a milkshake
In my youth, I was quite a party animal. I know, you are shocked by this. I look so sweet and pure. (insert sarcasm)
Anyway, you can say I have walked around the hangover bend a few times. Hence one of the reasons that in my older years, I chose never to be in a situation of too drunk and then a severe hangover.
Even on special occasions, I never overdo it. The strong flu-like sensation you get the next morning is way too strong for me.
When I has been besides doing this, I have literally tried everything, before drinking and after, to prevent or cure a hangover, but nothing has worked.
A few years ago I read that drinking a banana milkshake can cure a hangover. That in itself made me sick. Looks like it would make your hangover worse! I love bananas, but a banana milkshake, when you feel like throwing up, it looks horrible.
But, I’m willing to consider that it might work, especially after studying this theory, by checking out YouTube. Here is what I discovered.
I also, of course, googled it. According to thehealthydrinker.com,
Bananas also contain healthy amounts of magnesium and potassium, which get depleted with alcohol consumption and also contribute to alcohol blues. Plus, they’re loaded with natural sugars that the body needs after a night of partying.
They may or may not be “the world’s most perfect food,” but it’s a fact that bananas help cure hangovers.
Sounds good to me! I’m going to the store to stock up on bananas. I’ll be right back.
In the meantime, if you’re still skeptical about how effective bananas are on hangovers, here is a doctor’s hangover advice.
